Francesco Coggiola back in Uganda

Francesco is back in Uganda, in Kampala, this time with Dr Giacomo Bonavita and Professor Raffaele Dalla Valle, and here is his logbook.

21 February: meeting at the embassy with H.E. Ambassador to Uganda Dr Mauro Massoni

22 February: child with flu in Kampala, Combonian home. In the afternoon, distribution of WECARE T-shirts to many children in the Bishop Caesar Asili Memorial Hospital BCAH in Luweero for check-ups and therapies. Delivery of the ultrasound scanner to the director of the BCAH sister Ernestine Akulu with administrative director Rosemary Nassuna.

27 February: dinner preparation for the 90 students enrolled in the vocational nursing and midwifery school. In the cauldron, posho, a kind of polenta flour, is cooked and served with beans.

29 February: Dr Giacomo Donavita tries his hand at preparing pasta, after struggling in the operating theatre.
